Jared & Jenn's Wedding.

It was a wonderful day to be a part of.
Bright and early at a cottage on Sparrow Lake, the day started out very relaxed and everyone seemed to embrace the 'laid-back spirit' of this couple, which carried throughout the entire day. Jared & Jenn definitely bring out the best in each other, and their love for each other is genuine and natural. As beautiful and perfect as their wedding celebration was, this couple was just excited for their marriage ahead of them, recognizing how profound this day would be for them, and for the days ahead of them.

I'm so excited for you two and feel so blessed to be have been able to witness your commitment to each other. I had such a great time as bridesmaid\photographer, and am looking forward to seeing your journey unfold.

Special Thanks to my sister Hilary, who made it possible for me to be in the bridal party by "second shooting" for me.
:) It was fun working together!

Graciella's Cake Smash.

Cake smash photos are a blast- but they are definitely unpredictable.. I should say: toddlers are unpredictable. What I've learnt when photographing cutie-pie toddlers, is to roll with them and to photograph whatever they give you. It's not always about getting a "nice" photo, sometimes the real photos of the real moments are the ones that will be fun memories to look back on and laugh at. That's what the cake smash is all about!
So sweet Graciella wasn't a huge fan of my camera...but I actually think she just couldn't bear to 'smash' such a gorgeous cake made just for her!:P ..Eventually she warmed up for a quick game of peek-a-boo with me, and I'm proud to say I squeezed a smile out her cute little face.
Here's a small glimpse of her cake smash!
Thanks to her parents for embracing a toddler meltdown and photographing it anyway, and yes we even got a "nice" photo in there with a whole bunch of memories to look back on :)
